Esprit make it THREE for the Commonwealth!

Team England has officially announced their gymnastics squad for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, which sees Esprit's second gymnast, Stephani Sherlock selected for team England and completing the line-up for the home nations.

As announced last week Laura Halford, Esprit's current Senior British Champion will be part of a strong Welsh gymnastics team.

Whilst Esprit's other international gymnast and current 2014 English Champion and British hoop & ball silver medalist, Stephani Sherlock, will compete against her team mate as part of the English team.


The final representative from Esprit will be the clubs head coach Deb Hows who has been selected as head coach to the English Rhythmic Gymnastics team.

The club is ecstatic that it has been able to provide such outstanding athletes to our home nation teams, with Deb Hows inclusion as the English Team coach showing the high standard of the rhythmic gymnastic coaching at the club.

Esprit compete at the Commonwealth Games

Fantastic news today! 

Esprit's Senior British Champion, Laura Halford has been confirmed as part of Team Wales for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July.

The news was announced via the BBC and Commonwealth Games website yesterday and will see Laura represent her Country, your town and your club in the biggest competition of her life.

Laura has been at Esprit since the age of six and in an interview yesterday, expressed her gratitude to the club and most important Esprit's head coach, Deb Hows.

Laura said, "Deb has put so much time supporting me and helping me get better, so it is really nice to be able to say thank you".

We'll be supporting you all the way Laura - WELL DONE, you deserve it!
